BANDITS
cinema à la carte
BANDITS
A 2001 film starring Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton,
and Cate
Blanchett. Blew us away last night. Great, great fun;
loosely based on real characters. Great
performances.
On the Netflix list, thanks. Still have to finish Goodfellas (Amazon) from last night, and then Bandits - before Sunday's big NFL games and the foods I fix hubby.
Hmmm…Speaking of Goodfellas, has anyone been watching Ray Liotta's new TV series, "Shades of Blue"? ? We like Ray Liotta and we love most NYC cop shows, so we tuned it in. And we kept watching it despite the fact there wasn't a single sympathetic character; they were ALL corrupt cops. But it was still fascinating, until last night. How could Ray Liotta let himself be cast as a closeted homo? Or will there be some OTHER explanation for his character passionately kissing another man on the mouth?
Would it be too much to ask for those so actively working to promote the homosexual agenda to just give it a fucking rest??? Does EVERYTHING have to have a homosexual angle??
Ann Hedonia & Sam Paku I set my DVR to record the series because of Ray Liotta (despite Jennifer Lopez being a lead character). After watching the pilot episode I deleted the series recording because it was just that bad. According to what you shared, I chose correctly. Thanks for confirming my decision.

With your permission, I am SO going to use that line in the future.
Frisco Scooter Trash: You actually believe that "in real life" all cops are corrupt? I feel sorry for you. In real life as I've experienced it, most cops are motivated by tremendous idealism.
I always pass your suggestions to the hubby. His reaction was "seen it, great fun".

ReplyDeleteI guess not so much. Not at Netflix and not paying $3.99 at Amazon for a 2001 release. :/

The Man has spoken
ReplyDeleteDang! The Gay Mafia ruins things again. I was just getting to like that show, too.
ReplyDeleteEvery cop is corrupt on Shades (just like in real life, so I'm OK with that) but now they want us to believe all cops are homos, too?

ReplyDeleteI assume "all cops are corrupt until proven otherwise" would be slightly more accurate.
ReplyDeleteForewarned is forearmed. If you're out my way at least be very wary.
