Pop gun crooks
In Pensacola, Florida, suspect, Jarell Blackmon used a fake pistol to rob a food mart. He cleaned out the cash register and made off with ten cartons of cigarettes before the cashier used a real gun to shoot him. TRUE
So he really didn't "make off" with the cash and smokes, did he?
He tried to steal smokes and got smoked instead. Ha ha! What a shame! Sic semper latrones!
Remember, it's still armed robbery even if the gun was fake, or unloaded, or just a finger in a pocket simulating a gun. You still go to the Graybar Hotel, if you're lucky enough to not get justifiably shot by your intended victim.
(Unless, of course, you're just a poor, oppressed minority who got "caught up in the justice system", and look like the son Obama would have, if he had one.)
The mind of a 'progressive' would probably think "Hey. It's an Airsoft gun, so that makes this a 'soft' crime. Certainly not worth being shot with a HATEFUL real gun that shoots HATEFUL real bullets!"
Even though inanimate objects contain no hate, or any emotion, for that matter.
You really can be killed by an airsoft gun.

Well, the cashier can always say, "I never INTENDED to shoot him -- the gun just WENT OFF somehow!"
