'W'ere In Charge Here

Stuns Nobody

I see two scenarios:
  1. Trump wins the nomination; survives assassination attempts; is elected, and like George McGovern did with the DNC in1972, he reshapes the GOP. But unlike McGovern, this improves the national landscape.
  2. The GOP brokers him out of the nomination and instantly becomes a despised and lifeless parody of itself.  Prolly some shooting going on.
I prefer the former, but will rejoice to see this GOP in flames.

    DVR record today on PBS is: The Bloody Irish! Songs of the 1916 Uprising. Apart from the PBS $$$ begging, this production moves my heart and sense of patriotism for America. Being blessed to have spent time in Dublin 2014 we toured Kilmainham Gaol among other historical sites. Men, women and children oppressed, mistreated and killed. America will barely find time to vote let alone die for freedom. It seems like both major political parties of the USA would willingly oppress its people this election cycle.     Okay - Trump's new slogan is "Hope and Change!" Wait - that sounds kind of familiar.

    So who is taking shots at Trump? Seems to me that evidence points to Trump doing the hating of everybody but himself.

    Moved to Mexico six years ago and swore that I wouldn't come back until the shooting started.

    I'll be back in May.

    Unfortunately, the possiblitity of Donald McRonald even beating the vile witch is nil.

    So, let's root for Bernie. He would also trounce Trump, but his old hippiness is preferable to the vileness of her.

    ..and by the way, it is the super conservative wing - the fringe - of the Republicans who are out step. Just like the Leninist wing of the democrat party. The USA is a center right country. Gotta face it.
