Requiescant in pace.
ReplyDeleteDear Kim,
ReplyDeleteI'm deeply saddened by her passing. We'd never met, but she taught me so many wonderful and valuable lessons while she was writing. The pain you feel now is in proportion to the love you've felt and it never really goes away.
I know you two were not believers, but i pray that you two discover each other again in the hereafter.
Kim, having lost an adult son to cancer I can tell you that the memories never go away but that the pain ebbs with time. It has been almost 14 years and I think of my son every day and still miss him terribly but can remember him now without tears (most of the time).
ReplyDeleteJust read this, and felt the pain for you and your life. You were my inspiration, and she yours in many ways. My personal deepest sympathies, Kim.
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss, I am glad her passing was swift and painless.
ReplyDeleteWill be in the DFW-FW area in June, would like to treat you to dinner.
