No. We're not there yet, but we're working on it.
You should be able to see stuff now while we work on the code. And, let me tell you, the code we are working on, it's gonna be good code, great code. You will be amazed at this code, I promise, you are gonna love this code. It will be the best code ever. The very best, because that's what we do. The best.
Let me know if it something looks wonky for you while we work on the code. |

Looking good in Opera, Firefox, Pale Moon, Edge, Brave, and Safari. Delighted to have you back and kudos to Linda.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom! and thank you for checking those browsers!
ReplyDeleteGlad your back from the dark hole of nothingness. Everything looks fine on chrome on a vista basic.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I like the new look too -- clean, simple. CONGRATULATIONS and COMPLIMENTS!
ReplyDeleteYeah.....I was having withdrawals.
ReplyDeleteI'm on an iMac with Safari . . . looks o.k. to me, but how would I know if I'm missin somethin? Reason I ask is that my first reaction was "sparse." That was until I realized that it's a work in progress, so . . . . .
ReplyDeleteI think it's gonna be YUGE. Looks good on Win7/Firefox. Thank you Linda Sue!!
ReplyDeleteI was suffering YUGE withdrawal pains, maybe even emotional labor, from Rodge's absence.

After many pricey bids for my own website build I ended up doing it myself with Wordpress and a few plugins. Lotsa respect for you artsy types that make it look good.
ReplyDeleteI thought the old design was way too busy, and the way that all of the content was iframed into the main page always caused readability problems in my RSS feed reader. This is nice and clean, and I can already see the change in my feed reader.
ReplyDeleteThank you for making Boned Jello great again!
ReplyDeleteYour Trump imitation is applause-worthy.
ReplyDeleteDouble your salary, go home, and have a lot of champagne on the company.
Good work, so far - nice to see it up and running again!
ReplyDeleteMain page looks ok through Chrome on an android device. But clicking on the individual entrys they are pretty squished sided to side. Actual text is limited to middle third of the page, making for very long skinny entries...
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping get one of my favorite sites back up and running.
A new blogger standard format - good thinking guys. Now you need to make it unique - get rid of the the Blogger top line that takes you to other Blogger sites, kill the gray background color, make the right bar pretty and find an outstanding Curmudgeonly & Skeptical logo.
ReplyDeleteLots of cheap Blogger format designs outside of Google's own , but sometimes there is HTML code missing that has to be added. Warning: Reviewing these designs can waste hours upon hours.
And of course you have to decide how you are going to make enough money with the blog to keep you of out of a hole. Apply the First Rule of Holes.
...and there is great rejoicing.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Rodge. Boned Jello is not something I wanted to give up for Lent.
ReplyDeleteYes, I just woke up and am astounded by what I accomplished ... who is this Linda person? Oh. Right.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who this Linda person is either, but she's the bomb.

David, I am not seeing the same issue on the individual entries, they look find in my browser, and the code is the same for the front page.
ReplyDeleteHang with us, we will have a final template done soon, and this temporary one will be gone.
and... in the immortal words of Popeye.... I am, who I am.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for rising up from the grave. I once more have a reason for getting out of bed in the morning, along with bacon. ReplyDeleteTremendous job, Linda!!
ReplyDeleteIf Linda Sue has this for action, I can relax and wait for results.
ReplyDeleteLike Tom Smith said, much respect for the artsy types that make the page attractive. If this were my blog, it would be white Courier New on a black background.
Good to see you back Rodg. Linda has served you well. Give her a raise! I missed you a lot. I don't care about rss feeds and so forth - I really missed your wit and whimsy.....ok, you are worth the time and I don't give that sobriquet very often.
