Now THAT is freakin scary. Almost verbatim the somewhat recurrent dream I have in that category. The professor is male, however, and the threat is that my BA and MA will be deconferred because I never finished an American history class and a statistics class.
And I've been retired from the USN for 35 years and from teaching at the university for about a dozen now.
If that dream comes up again tonite, I'm gonna tell on you.
Amazing! GMTA. I don't remember many of my dreams, but I remember one very similar to your cartoon I had a couple years ago. In it, I had my engineering diploma rescinded 50 years after I graduated because some bureaucrat discovered I had an incomplete in some Mickey Mouse course. To add insult to injury, in the dream I could not even retake the course because it was no longer offered. I think Freud is saying we all have a dislike for petty bureaucrats who take great delight in enforcing obscure rules. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
My particular one is explaining to my High School principal the reason I wasn't in second-period History class yesterday was that I was on a 12-hour tactical flight and if Mrs. Hayes had bothered reading the flight schedule she'd have known that.
But I have the college-degree-is-no-good-because-my-high-school-diploma-is-invalid one too...
