scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
I'm going to vote for "Kelly's Heroes", cause nothing says realistic war movie like stealing a large cache of Nazi gold with Clint Eastwood and Donald Sutherland.
Thank you for this list. There a few on this list we haven't seen so they will be fresh on our lists. BTW, a couple we can recommend would be, Cross of Iron (1977) James Coburn - well made and very impacting story. Another my husband has heart and respect for is, The Siege of Jadotville (2016)- not American soldiers (same as Cross of Iron) but those Irish have a lengthy history of being some ass, well you know.

ReplyDeleteOperation Petticoat? Isn't that the one where a sub goes to sea and returns with some of the crew identifying as female?
ReplyDeleteNo “We Were Soldiers?”
