This fitbit sleep chart basically said
to me:
"Keep your mouth
shut until you recharge, moron"
Ahem.
Spent a day and a half without reading the news. Taped, but did not
watch, the Terps game against Wisconsin yesterday, so was able to erase
it before it did any real harm. What game? Slept like
a baby last
night. Life is good. |

I don't understand these charts and I don't have a fitbit. Looks like you're getting 4 hours of sleep a night, which is not at all healthy. Or is it showing that you've got sleep apnea? A bi-pap machine works wonders for that, and cures snoring too.

ReplyDeleteI gotta' ditto that comment Drew458. Personally, I have a CPAP, not a BiPAP, machine that I haven't used for a few years. I found that by analyzing your stress level and by doing whatever calms and soothes you before bed, such as; A cup of hot cocoa, a bowl of cereal, a glass of milk, or maybe even a shot of brandy or cold beer - Whatever suits you at the time - eliminates my need to use the machine anymore.
Oh, don't get me wrong, there are some mornings that I awake with the knowledge that I wasn't sufficiently relaxed at bedtime and should have taken preventative measures before bedtime or used the CPAP. My wife don't have to tell me the next day that I was snoring and/or tossing and turning, I know and don't need a hand held device to tell me how I'm feeling.
Since I know nothing about Fitbit I looked it up after reading Rog's and your comments. Almost$300.00 on Amazon for yet another tracking device? Not for me! I paid a monthly rental fee for, I don't know, 6 months or a year, to Medicare and then my CPAP was mine. It still wasn't worth it.
Finally, I personally think that sleep apnea studies are almost as big of Medicare scam as the lifetime welfare slugs and the millions of others who never paid into the system during their so called "working years". My wife's stent surgery and 2-day hospital stay cost less than the Medicare charges for my 6-hr. sleep apnea study and I have been ashamed of that ever since.
Love my cpap, I have obstructive apnea and without the machine I never get any real sleep. When I first got it the dreams were so vivid, the Doc says thats because it had been years since I actually got to sleep and had forgotten about dreaming.
ReplyDeleteHm. Well, since I don't have a vagina, I don't figger I need a cpap.
