Not to appear too happy, these were three-judge panels of the 9th. The losing side can go for the whole en banque bunch, and stomp this little ruling all to hell.
Skoonj, that's exactly what I expect to happen, just like with Peruta v. Gore. To my way of thinking, that makes it even more likely to be appealed to SCOTUS. I'm (perhaps foolishly) optimistic that by the time it gets there, there will be a solid 5-4 or even a 6-3 court to review it. SCOTUS has been dodging good Second Amendment cases since 2010; they can't keep it up forever.
