James Inhofe caught my eye in
1998. Some of you may remember that President Clinton had
personally intervened in the process to give COSCO the lease on the
former Long Beach Naval Station docks. Not COSTCO,
COSCO - Chinese Overseas Shipping Co. A August 10, 1998 Insight article by Timothy W. Maier quotes him ...
|
"Despite appearances, COSCO is not a benign private
commercial enterprise. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of China's
People's Liberation Army. It serves as the merchant marine of the
Chinese military and there is every reason to believe it will do their
bidding in terms of smuggling, intelligence gathering and weapons
shipments. Considering China's long-term ambitions for superpower
status in the next century, it would be foolish for America to
surrender control of a strategically located West Coast port to an arm
of the Chinese military."

Indeed, Inhofe was virtually alone in connecting the dots in this
matter between Clinton, James Riady, Red China, and the Utah coal
reserves that Clinton took out of play. The only man with the
balls to ask public questions about what everybody knew privately
to be true. He did it again Monday when he stood before the
Senate and talked about
Global Warming. Please read at least a few paragraphs. Oklahomans are smart folks, and I thank them for Inhofe.
Rodger, I sent a link of this to our daughter earlier in the week. She is, right now, in Oaklahoma "meeting the parents" of her nice (also USAF) boyfriend. I, too, thought it was great... especially in comparison to our own Governator who is currently sucking face w/the Greenies.
ReplyDeleteBWT, Arnold, CA's fire season contributes more to global warming and air pollution than any Humvee. AND the current Day Fire, burning since Labor Day, was started by a "homeless"
BUM! NoT an SUV.
