The Huckster has always struck as just another wishy-washy politician that simply tailor their speeches to the crowd. The only ones that I think are straight shooters are Tancredo and Hunter. This is going to be a crappy year.
Fred Thompson, sigh. I hate to say it, but I don't see evidence of "belly fire." However, if he suddenly went wildly on the offense with a clear, cogent, and detailed message, he wins.
FRED! is the man. Personally, if he can simply speak clearly and get his point across, THAT is what I want. I don't want some psycho nutjob that jumps up and down a lot. I want someone with the lessage I can believe because it's NOT hype, it's down home from the shoulder.
