| Inside Emmett C. Burns, Jr. - Way inside. |
|
In 2000 Maryland legislators
created
law requiring all new hand guns to include two
spent cartridges to be filed with the police. The idea was that
after the commission of a gun crime the cops would bend over, pick up
the spent casing, and use it like a fingerprint to identify the gun's
owner. Evidently not a single lawmaker thought to ask the obvious
question: what about revolvers? Gun manufacturers
refused to comply, and with every gun store in Maryland about to close
down without new merchandise, the idiots revoked the law.
Meet Emmett C. Burns. Baptist
Minister, Democrat member of Maryland's House of Delegates, and sponsor
of a bill that surpasses in its lunacy that cluster fukc.
My suggestion to Mr, Burns was he
take one of his serial numbered bullets and shoot himself in the head
with it, and see if the state police could track the owner down after it had bounced around his thick skull.
I guess he tried it, because the bill was pulled today.

Total asshole, but he makes a great pot o' rice!.....What?..Who?..Sorry. That ain't him after all. That other guy is Chairman over at Mars.
ReplyDeleteI looked up Ford's patent. He has merely patented the various available locations on a bullet and case where one could theoretically mark an optically readable code, and patented every key on a conventional keyboard if that character is used as part of that code. He hasn't a clue how that could be physically done, nevermind done economically, and he is no doubt trolling his wonderful idea in front of Leftist legislators all over the country. If enough Leftistwacko legislatures (Maryland's would have been a prime candidate, IMHO) passes the idea into law, then Ford gets to sit back and get rich on royalties while ammo manufacturers bust their butt and waste beaucoup money trying to implement the hare-brained scheme.
ReplyDeleteFord is a fucking parasite, probably a lawyer, who actually invented nothing, but rather thought of an unusual (by prior art) place to put some signage.
I wonder if I can patent branding his forehead with "I am an asshole" and get paid for it?

ReplyDeleteOne word: Buckshot.
I think we should put a serial number on every tomato and head of lettuce, too, so that we can track down which farm workers are still crapping in the field. Then I could finally eat a salad in peace. DD
ReplyDeleteI can't understand why new Jersey hasen't jumped on this. They've already blown a couple of million dollars on guns that can only be fired by their owner.
ReplyDeleteGood one DD
ReplyDeleteGotta say. I was just in Columbia to visit my daughter and Maryland is beautiful but the dems there are nutz. We had a big dinner and wow, I was filled in by a herd of very disgruntled Republicans.
Kinda put the troubles I see here in Colorado in perspective. Here, we truly are the lobster just getting put into the pot of cold water. In Maryland, you guys are on full boil.

The law will require all criminals to leave two spent cartridges from the firearm utilized during the commission of the crime, regardless of type of firearm. So if you use a revolver, you must open the cylinder and extract two spent cartridges, and place them where they could be found, within the crime scene. Failure to do so is illegal. Sorry, "undocumented worker".
ReplyDeleteLawmakers hope that this measure will help reduce crime, since it will force criminals to use at least two rounds per crime, and it is well known that ammunition prices have skyrocketed because of the oil war in Irak (and the other one on that area). [/s]

He is not an idiot. He is simply evil.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't about workable anti-crime policies. It is about taking away guns and ammo and making effective self-defense by us peasants impossible . The law is not supposed to do anything other than screw with gun owners.
It works exactly as designed.
If I remember right, not only did they solve zero crimes with their 'ballistic fingerprint' database, they state police actually told the legislature it was a waste of time, money and personnel. They asked to be allowed to shut it down and move the people and funding to their DNA database, which actually works.
