scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
Herr Blucher, they are not leaving out anything. They are reciting the pledge as written by its author, a socialist named Bellamy. Under God was added by one of those votes Congress holds to see who is a "real 'murakin" and who "the commies" are. This was in about 1955. I remember the change; it was done when I was in kindergarten. Adding that in solved a great number of problems for this nation, let me tell you! I just can't think which ones.
Let me write that one down.

ReplyDeleteWhen I became a citizen 2 years ago I think they mentioned something along those lines...
ReplyDeleteSome leave out "under God" while repeating the pledge. I happen to exclude "indivisible."

I'd be careful who I showed that one to if I were you. You never know who might be watching.
ReplyDeleteIt rolls off the tongue nicely but I doubt that it'll ever catch on way too radical.
