Steve Miller played down here (Calvert Marine Museum) last night. Les Paul was his godfather (Steve's dad was Les Paul's best man at his wedding). He mentioned LP's passing and dedicated a song to him (and also one to Bo Diddly). BTW, Steve Miller still sounds great at 65...

At the time, getting a Fender Stratocaster was my dream. I wound up with a Harmony.

That was great, Rodg, thanks. There's so much lefty bs on PBS these days I can't watch it any more so I miss the good stuff like this. I've always loved Les. If you do too, you should know about Spade Cooley, too.

The 70's album "Chester and Lester" that Les did with Chet Atkins has been reissued and it's less than ten bucks on Amazon. It's a peach.
