Rep. Kratovil

A hat tip to Kratovil

Rep. Frank Kratovil of Indiana [sic], told the Associated Press he plans to vote against the bill because it does not do enough to control costs.

"At this time there is not much point in lobbying me," he said. "I am a 'no."' (PBS)

Frank Kratovil is my Congressman (MD-1) and not from Indiana.  While he's a democrat who barely won after a spoiler entered the race, splitting the vote, in a district where ACORN was active, I'll give him his due.  He voted against Cap & Trade, and now promises to vote against Obamacare.  Our old RINO congressman, one Wayne Gilchrist, most certainly would have voted for both.  Kratovil says he's voting against because "because it does not do enough to control costs."  That's good, but what about the underlying threats to our freedom?  We'll work on that.

The effigy photo is from Politico, where  Glenn Thrush cries crocodile tears over it.  Blah-blah- blah.  Then in a somewhat breathless update, Thrush finds something even more sinister.

UPDATE: As it turns out, the dangling of a noose has distant but painful historical resonance on the Eastern Shore.

The Salisbury area was the site of the last two racial lynchings that took place in the state of Maryland -- both in the 1930s, according to Polly Stewart. a former Salisbury University professor interviewed by NPR earlier this year.

Stewart, a folklorist who researched the crimes, detailed the reaction of predominantly-white local historical society when she confronted them with evidence of the lynchings in the mid-1980s:

I'll let the commenters to this article speak for me.  What a bunch of silly crap emanating from the left these days, like  Robert Gibbs's Hitler lament (post below).   Anyway, for now a hat tip to Kratovil for being a mensch.

I love the pride-smile this guy wears when someone clicks his pic; like he finally placed at his grade school Science Fair.

If I were Rep. Kratovil, I would take being hung in effigy as a great compliment.
