I called Mother Superior in so I could read some of  "Lights In Sky Prompt Flood Of Calls In Md., Va., N.C." to her as she headed out the door.  She said, "funny you should find that ... ."  Last night, about 9:30, she looked out the upstairs window and saw the sky lit a bright green.  I was snoozing downstairs.   She didn't see the orange light, just that the sky over the tree line was bright green.  I'm pretty excited.  I think it's what Hillary didn't want to talk about.  That beings from my alternative universe have channeled in on my thoughts, and are here to vaporize Washington D.C. Democrats.  Not the ones who're family and friends of you and me.  Everyone else.  When it happens, according to my script, millions of us will find everyone else who belongs to ANSWER, PeTA, ACORN, and other usual suspects and feed 'em into the wood chipper.  Then cocktails at my house.  Or, it could be someone else's AU playing out.

I run into one of these things just about every day.  Now that God has been replaced by moral relativism, there are many more examples one could display, if one wished, like thinking it's okay to vote for democrats. But I tarry. The example on the left uses a favorite tool of progressives, the false premise.  Intellectual property has intrinsic value, and copying it is the same as counterfeiting money - it dilutes the value of every genuine counterpart, which is theft. Because of my upbringing, when I steal good ideas from Denny Wilson, or the Lounge, I know I'm being bad, and I can't sleep at night.  I don't pretend it's okay; I suffer terribly.  On the other hand, it is okay to stiff the government for every cent you can, because this government is no better than a den of pirates.  By "stiff"  I mean avoid paying taxes, not evade them. That's a nuance that eludes gummint  democrats.

“ PO2 (EOD2) (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) Mike Monsoor, a Navy EOD Technician, was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously for jumping on a grenade in Iraq, giving his life to save his fellow Seals. (Notice: Mike was not a Navy SEAL, he was EOD. He gave his life to save a group of Navy SEALS.) During Mike Monsoor's funeral in San Diego , as his coffin was being moved from the hearse to the grave site at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery , SEAL's were lined up on both sides of the pallbearers route forming a column of two's, with the coffin moving up the center. As Mike's coff in passed, each SEAL, having removed his gold Trident from his uniform, slapped it down embedding the Trident in the wooden coffin. The slaps were audible from across the cemetery; by the time the coffin arrived grave side,  it looked as though it had a gold inlay from all the Tridents pinned to it. This was a fitting send-off for a warrior hero. This should be front-page news instead of the crap we see every day. Since the media won't make this news, I choose to make it news by forwarding it . I am very proud of our military. If you are proud too, please pass this on.  If not then rest assured that these fine men and women of our military will continue to serve and protect. A few days ago Doug Ross noted that, unbelievably, Naperville High School, a Chicago 'burb, had invited Weather Underground terrorist and Obama advisor Bill Ayers to speak to students.  Contact info was given.  Some things still work the right way.  Today LGF reader “realwest” shared an email he received with some good news on this subject: “     Thank you very much for your e-mail regarding Ayers visit to Naperville North High School. I too have been concerned about this event since learning of it last week, and have been working on it since. I want to advise you that this event has been canceled. Judge OKs probe of torture complaint against Bush officials

It's in the best tradition of budding tyrannies to prosecute political rivals, full fledged tyrannies having reached a point where there are none.  S o it is here.  But with an added twist.  “ (CNN) -- A senior Spanish judge has ordered prosecutors to investigate whether key Bush aides should be charged with crimes over the Guantanamo Bay detention center, a lawyer said Sunday. Garzon says the case can be brought under Spanish law because several Spaniards were held at Guantanamo. Investigating magistrate Baltasar Garzon has passed a 98-page complaint to prosecutors that accuses former Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and five others of being the legal architects of system that allowed torture in violation of international law, human rights lawyer Gonzalo Boye told CNN. Prosecutors will review the document to determine if a crime has been committed. .... there were several Spaniards (Mulsio C__ksuckers)  at Guantanamo who allegedly suffered torture. The complaint was filed in March 2008 by Boye and the Association for the Rights of Prisoners. It names Gonzales -- who was President George W. Bush's counsel when the Guantanamo Bay detention center was established -- and other top Bush administration officials John C. Yoo, Douglas J. Feith, William J. Hayes II, Jay S. Bybee and David S.
