UN ABUSE

UN Abuse
ckick-click

Given the current situation -- Obama nationalizing American business, funding ACORN, his own personal terror group to the tune of $5B,  Obama 's top legal nominee Koh has "No Problem With Sharia Law," blah-blah-blah, given all that, it should come as no surprise if Obama brings in the UN, under some guise, as a hedge against U.S. military commanders backing the wrong side when the time comes.  But, Linda Sue did send some good news.  A video of what the UN-mandated KFOR peacekeepers in Bosnia do with their time -- jerk-off, if this French soldier is any indication. Ought to be a piece of cake, they.

Remember, I did say "jerk-off," and that would be in the biblical sense, so click at the risk of your immortal soul.

Cris Dodd .. the one who's a crook

Oh My ... whole lotta culture of corruption breaking out here boss
IT'S been a rotten year for Chris Dodd. Time and again, the Connecticut senator has been caught both doing favors for heavy hitters and receiving them -- and then lying about it.

Sometimes the mess involves a firm like AIG or Countrywide, enmeshed in the abuses that have so damaged the US economy. Sometimes Dodd's pal is just a felon in need of a presidential pardon. But the cavalcade of scandal clearly puts the five-term senator in danger of losing his next re-election bid.

Dodd's collapse began last June, when Conde Nast Portfolio revealed that he had gotten two cut-rate mortgages of nearly $800,000 from subprime giant Countrywide Financial ... [continued]

Finland Defense Corp -RK 62 standard issue
The Soviet forces had four times as many soldiers as the Finns, 30 times as many aircraft and 218 times as many tanks.[4] However, the Red Army had recently been subjected to a drastic purge in 1937 that crippled it, reducing its morale and efficiency shortly before the outbreak of hostilities.[11] With up to 50% of army officers executed, including the vast majority of those of the highest rank, the Red Army in 1939 had many inexperienced senior officers.[12] Due to a combination of these factors, and an extremely high commitment and morale in the Finnish forces, the Finns were able to resist the invasion of their country with great success and for far longer than the Soviets had expected. - Wiki

That's Pat Dollard's take on Murtha's actual quote, "If I’m corrupt, it’s because I take care of my district.

I think a lesson we all can learn from Rep David Whittle (D VA) is to read, listen, or hear something in its entirety before commenting.  I way include myself in this admonition, sigh.  That way we won't ever become blockhead cultists.  Say Amen.

Record fine for Soros 'illegal manipulation of financial markets'
Ahem

The principle financier of the Democrats, the man whose early support catapulted Obama into the lead for the nomination, the man who made billions from the stock market crash that changed everything in the fall campaign (McCain was in the lead when the crisis hit), has been given a record fine by Hungarian financial authorities. AFP reports:

Hungary's financial supervisory watchdog announced Friday it had slapped a 1.6-million-euro fine on an investment fund founded by US billionaire George Soros, for manipulating the market.

The PSzAF said it had fined Soros Fund Management LLC for transactions on the Budapest stock exchange on October 9 that led to a "significant loss in value" of Hungarian OTP bank stocks, which fell in days from 4,000 forint (13.2 euros, 17.86 dollars) to 2,500 forint.

The PSzAF "is imposing a 489-million-forint fine on Soros Fund Management LLC... for violating the rules regarding the illegal manipulation of financial markets," the supervisory authority said in a statement on its Internet site.

This is not the first time Soros has been fined for illegal market manipulation. That he is the most significant financial backer of the American left should serve as a clarion call to Americans. Do not trust this man.

The Philadelphia Bulletin reports that attorney Heather Heidelbaugh recently informed a House Judiciary subcommittee that The New York Times had killed a story last October — shortly before the U.S. presidential election — that would have revealed the Barack Obama presidential campaign’s intimate ties to the infamous voter-fraud group ACORN (and to ACORN’s sister group, Project Vote, which has been similarly implicated in far-ranging voter fraud).

In October a former ACORN worker, Anita Moncrief, told Heidelbaugh that she had been a “confidential informant for several months to The New York Times reporter, Stephanie Strom.” The Bulletin story, penned by Michael Tremoglie, fleshes out the details:

Ms. Moncrief had been providing Ms. Strom with information about ACORN’s election activities. Ms. Strom had written several stories based on information Ms. Moncrief had given her.

During her testimony, Ms. Heidelbaugh said Ms. Moncrief had told her The New York Times articles stopped when she revealed that the Obama presidential campaign had sent its maxed-out donor list to ACORN’s Washington, D.C. office.

Ms. Moncrief told Ms. Heidelbaugh the campaign had asked her and her boss to “reach out to the maxed-out donors and solicit donations from them for Get Out the Vote efforts to be run by ACORN.”

Ms. Heidelbaugh then told the congressional panel: “Upon learning this information and receiving the list of donors from the Obama campaign, Ms. Strom reported to Ms. Moncrief that her editors at The New York Times wanted her to kill the story because, and I quote, ‘it was a game changer.’”

A Modest Proposal

Dr. Hardcrab's Modest Proposal

No, not that.  THIS.

I know this is "fuzzy math" but what the hell....

Mr. President:

There's about 40 million people over 50 years old in the work force.  Let them retire now (and everyone else when they reach 50 or have already reached 50) and pay them $ 1 million apiece severance with stipulations:

                1. They leave their jobs.  Forty million job  openings...Unemployment fixed.

                2. They buy NEW American cars.  Forty million cars ordered...Auto industry fixed.

                3. They either buy a house or pay off their  mortgage.  Housing Crisis fixed....or  they buy a boat or RV.

                4. They buy stock. Voila!  The stock market  rebounds with no help from the Feds.

What?  Sound too easy? Think about it.....
