scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."

Zippety-Doo-Dah
A Special Treat
Here's
something some of you have never seen, and nobody since 1977 when Song
of the South was last released by Walt Disney. (I am fortunate to own a
VHS copy, made in Europe where it is, or at least was, in
distribution).
Wo, are we movin' too slow? Have you seen us, Uncle Remus . . . We look pretty sharp in these clothes (yes, we do) Unless we get sprayed with a hose It ain't bad in the day If they squirt it your way 'Cept in the winter, when it's froze An' it's hard if it hits On yer nose On yer nose
Just keep yer nose To the grindstone, they say Will that redeem us, Uncle Remus . . . I can't wait till my Fro is full-grown I'll just throw 'way my Doo-Rag at home I'll take a drive to BEVERLY HILLS Just before dawn An' knock the little jockeys Off the rich people's lawn An' before they get up I'll be gone, I'll be gone Before they get up I'll be knocking the jockeys off the lawn Down in the dew -FZ
Tim beat me to it. Man, I loved that movie as a kid. Saw it again on bit torrent a year or so ago. It used to be aired on The Wonderful World of Disney. Yep, something wonderful was sacrificed on the altar of PCness.
I was lucky, back in the early '70s, to see SOTS in a restored movie theater. The crowd was mixed black and white and, despite the tensions at the time - NOBODY CARED. Not a dry eye in the house at the ending...
Last time I saw this movie my ex and I were in Toronto, circa 1983. Fantastic flick. Absolutely fantastic. But no longer PC so we may never see it again. . .
Yesterday I purchased an uncut/unedited DVD of SOTS at MayanCastleDvd.net
$16.00 including shipping via USPS.
I did a Bing search and found several editions available including a two disc set that had additional classics. Ididn't buy any of those because it required registration and payment through Google and I refuse to use them in any capacity.
DON, i had my order ready to go but something about giving my credit card to someone named "Mayan ....," selling pirated videos, made me back out. If they accepted Pay Pal ... Please let me know if everything works out and I'll go back. :))
