Chips & Blades

Done &  Done
From the RKOF test labs

I finally did the microchips from here, and they are spectacular.  Well, pretty good, anyway. This is the first batch, and I suspect each succeeding effort will see improvements. Took 5 minutes in my microwave.

This morning I decided to see if this guy was right,  in claiming that you can sharpen a Bic type razor indefinitely? (he's up to 20 months using the one he's holding).  How?  By using your forearm as a razor strop.  Rub the blades backward (duh) 10 times.  Yup. Worked like a charm this morning on "old nick."  My ass is as smooth as a baby's cheeks.

Am I sorry that I just destroyed the potato chip and disposable razor industries?  Yes.  I wish I could take it all back now.  Use these tricks to save money, but don't tell anyone.

Matt Modine: Mr. Hollywood

Imagine if somebody were to really sit down with Osama bin Ladin and say, 'Listen man, what is it that you're so angry at me about that you're willing to have people strap bombs to themselves, or get inside of airplanes and fly them into buildings?

KODAK HD THEATRE

Finally!

Lord knows, I've got scads of unemployed Woot crap laying about.  I'm not saying it's stuff that's broken; I'm saying that the installation/operation required more expertise than I was willing to acquire (like the micro helicopter that I flew into my head, and was happy to have gotten it airborne!).  Most of the useless crap falls into the category  "Wireless Interface/ PC with TV" .  I think I just scored with the Kodak Theater HD Player I bought March 19th, for $49.95.

It's a simple as simple can be to set up- almost.  Connect the little black box to your television with cable of choice (I used HDMI cable), put batteries into the pointer, and follow the on screen directions.  The only glitch I had was selecting the wrong type of WEN deal; "Personal" instead of "Open".

I was skeptical about watching HD movies via wireless, but from cursory trials that does not seem to be a problem.   What can you do?  Almost anything you do on your PC, including watch Net-Flix movies, read e-mail, look at your personal files, listen to your music, blah-blah-blah.  I notice the retail price is $199.00, but it can be had cheaper (but not so cheap as Woot's price, it seems).  Hoo-rah!  It has TRKOF Seal of Approval!

More From Pelosi Land

Having won the war, and in typical fashion, leftist governments must now face the consequences of what they've done.
Health care law may cost California billions

The passage of health care reform has focused attention on Washington, but the significant and expensive burden of implementing key provisions of the law now falls to individual states, and officials in cash-strapped California say it will cost the state billions of dollars a year.

CNN's Howard Kurtz got it right when he noted on Reliable Sources Sunday, "The conservative argument is that the media didn't seem quite so concerned with civility when protesters were calling George W. Bush a war criminal and a Nazi, and (using) that kind of overheated rhetoric as well."

Remember when an Iraqi threw his shoes at Bush - and it was Bush's fault?

Kurtz's three media guests disagreed. You see, they said, the right crossed the line. Poor babies; they can't even see that their line is the right.

Because Democrats see this story as a Victim Opportunity, there is more rage at vocal ObamaCare opponents than, say, students who have vandalized UC Berkeley property, including the chancellor's home, or toward violent anti-Bush protests.

Being a Victim is great for business too. As Pelosi said Monday, the GOP "really helps me with my fundraising."

Glenn Beck:
Despite What You Might Think,
Nazis Were Not Right-Wing

Boned Jello

Duh.  I could go on for hours on this, and  have over the years. Suffice it to say that Beck is right; both Hitler and Stalin were socialists.  The major difference being that Hitler used the state's authority to direct what the private sector produced, while Stalin confiscated and ran the means of production.  Here's some of the comments to this New York Magazine article..
This is a ridiculous attempts at cheaply revising history.
Hitler was attacking big business and high finance? What about all the wealthy industrials who profited from Hitler's war-machine and from the concentration camps industry?
Hitler was expanding access to education? Or was it access to propaganda?
No wonder this Goldberg was on Fox News. Such cheap arguments are juicy material for easy explotation by Fox's neoliberal (neo liberal?) idiocratic agenda.
Let me set the record straight.
This is revisionism of the cheapest sort.

Glen Beck is an idiot. A major reason why people followed Hitler and the National Socialists was because of their fear of the Communists.

The Nazis wanted to return to a day when their nation was pure, before the immigrants moved in, before homosexuals came out, to stop the long haired swing kids, their era of hippie, to cut the national debt, to have a strong military and to re-arm the Rhineland, to cut down on crime done by immigrants, to end the power of the Jewish bankers, to cut the liberal Jewish owned media.

Sounds a lot like today's modern Tea Party.

The right-wing in the U.S. decries attempts to rewrite history while rewriting history. Constantly. It's been a very effective strategy for them. Seemingly.

The sad thing is that the Texas School boards buy so many school textbooks that they can re-write history. Any wonder why some people actually will believe Glenn Beck? blah-blah-blah

There you have it, the root of our national problem.  Minds tampered with by leftist  education cadre.  Hell, even Naomi Wolf Thinks the Tea Parties Help Fight Fascism !
