Enigmatic Faces

The Mona Lisa's enigmatic look may have been solved after a recent cleaning (NSFW Roll Over), but this?  He's not a phantom. nor is this an opera, so what does her look imply?  Fear? Thrillful  anticipation?  Being reunited with her junior high boyfriend?  Will we ever really know?
