I see going on today
something similar to the period in Europe called the "Phony War." Those
early days of WWII characterized by very little actual fighting
and a whole lot of chest thumping. The killing came soon
enough. My seeming bellicosity is not aimed at roiling
people's blood, although roiling it should be. No, it's a product of my coming to terms with events since 2008. Maddening.
I've learned enough history to feel justified saying that there is no possible road to rapprochement with the
Left. Not that I can find. I often (now) envision myself
delivering large bursts from a mini-gun into groups like Media
Matters. It's like having illicit sex though— eighty-six
seconds of thrill followed by a lifetime of misery. It will be
Hell.

Not if you smother them with the pillow.

You'll need a bigger pillow.
ReplyDeleteThe percentage of leftists who have actually seen the elephant are almost vanishingly small. Also those who have any experience with hands on metal work are pretty small. Among my acquaintances on the rabid right, are veterans of combat and law enforcement both foreign and domestic, people who have used machine tools too make a living, people who reload and do home gunsmithing, knife users and collectors, martial artists, and a host of other skills. And the left thinks it can intimidate with violence? If the left gets violent it will be there downfall.
ReplyDeletePS a rather large percentage are also computer geeks.
ReplyDeleteTo some generations much is given. Of other generations much is expected. This generation of Americans may have a rendezvous with destiny.
ReplyDeleteMy fear is that proglibs have no respect for law or sanity that at the first sign of any resistance they would not hesitate to use killing force even nukes on the heartland to keep their power. Think Ruby Ridge, Waco, Miami.

Most of the Left, perhaps 80%, have a disconnect in the brain, a door that slams shut whenever an act or idea arrives that does not fit their template of "How the World Should Be". They refuse to recognize "The World That Is" and the underlying human nature that runs it. Their failure to achieve a Socialist Utopian success over more than 100 years of trying is attributed again and again to not having the right person in charge, and every time it's "Marx/Lenin/Stalin/Mao/Roosevelt/Hitler/Honecker/Pol Pot/Obama will get it right this time". Misery and often tragedy always follow.
ReplyDeleteThe really dangerous ones are the Left that want to be in the other 20% who will "get it right this time" with a codicil, unspoken, that says "and whatever happens, we'll be exempt and rich once we're in power". They need and deserve the minigun treatment.
The 80% group just needs to be sent on a one way trip to the socialist hellhole of their choice; after all, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Congo, "Palestine", Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Kenya and Chad are all socialist or islamist and really need their expert help.

Except for a few union thug types, the left doesn't know how to be violent. How many college professors or ivy league types do you think go into the military, or even go hunting? That is so, like, not cool, man. Remember when the Tea Partyers started carrying firearms to gatherings in response to a few incidents of union thuggery? After a few tv reporters having kittens, we haven't heard a thing. I remember seeing a clip of a fat union thug trying to kick a Partyer, filmed by other Partyers, and the look on his face when he realized his target was openly carrying a handgun. He immediately turned away and all you saw was his back disappearing into the crowd.
