Racing with Obamanazis! Sort of. ....

Gird your loins and saddle up!

Top Gear aficionados will recognize the Isle of Man as the place where boys go to test drive their fastest toys.  Why?  Because there are wonderful roads with no speed limit,  and nobody actually lives there.  Cowboy Don sent this Insane Bike Race video which  was recently held there.  He suggests you add to the experience by  pretending you're  Steve McQueen,  being chased by Obama Gestapo (the SEIU).  WOW!  What an adrenaline rush.  USA UAS USA!

The IoM TT races. 37.6 mile course on the public roads around the island. Insane speeds and quite dangerous. Would love to attend before I die.

That takes a special kind of stupid. They might as well have lined the sides of the road with barbed wire to enhance the Steve McQueen effect. I mean, if you wipe out you're going to be spending a lot of time saying, "Oww!" anyway. What's a few more lacerations?

And what's with those wobbly front ends? That would be more than enough to make me slow down.

Margin is life.

At that speed it doesn't take much road irregularity to make the front wobble.

And they can't put much damping in place without lowering the max speed in a turn.

Saw that in HD on some TV program months ago. Both the racing and the photography were stunning, some of the best coverage I've ever seen, and the program ran an hour or more. I'd buy a DVD of that were it available.
I've been looking for a rerun ever since, and until now hadn't found one. It's a small piece, but it's enough.
hanks Rodger!

Watch it again, It isn't the front end that is wobbling, it is the rear. They go over a jump and they rev up and the rear tire is now going faster than the ground. It takes a few revolutions to bring it back in sync with the ground.
