scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
1.5 hrs/2 = 45 minutes of Captain Bullshit braying, bragging and spewing lies. I could not stomach that, so I didn't watch the debate. I heard Captain Bullshit's snarky reply to Romney about ships and bayonets on the news, and IMHO, a fey farb who can't throw a baseball 60 ft. hasn't the standing to comment on that. He is the Commander in Cheat, not Chief. Thanks for the video Rodger. That statue is going to be just right to memorialize the effort of the guys who served early and way deep in bad guy territory in the WOT. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
Last time I looked, the bayonet was an issue item for Army and Marine Corp troops, and although not every troop walks around with a bayonet strapped on all the time, there are plenty to go around. US Army...............562,000 US Marines ..........202,000 + reserves ...........607,000 Total about .......1,371,000. US Army + USMC in 1916....114,000. As usual, Captain Bullshit lives up to his name, and shows his disdainful ignorance of American history. He lives here, shits here (on us), but he is not for, of, nor is, American. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
If we had a proper contingent of Marines with bayonets guarding the consulate in Benghazi we wouldn't have four dead Americans including the ambassador. Is it possible for Obama to be a bigger asshole? Nope.
Last Veterans Day [2011] the Statue was dedicated and placed in a temporary holding place, because the site at the World Trade Center wasn't available yet.
Some of the original Team Members were there and I got to meet them. My Special Forces Association received a invitation to attend the ceremony and later we attended a Dinner.
Last week the Statue "De Oppresso Liber" [the actual name of it] was rededicated on the World Trade Center site where is will remain.
There isn't a more appropriate place that is should be sitting at.
We defeated the Taliban by sending in management teams who outsourced the battle to the Northern Alliance. Things started to go downhill once we put troops with impossible ROEs on the ground and hand picked Afghan politicians to replace the Taliban.
Freddie, things went south when GWB had the Taliban and al Qaeda cornered at Tora Bora, and failed to use a tactical nuke. Better to use the blood of American troops than the best weapon for the job. It would have been over in a nanosecond.
Notice that Obama seems to think all the Navy needs is a few carriers and a few subs? Seems to have zero idea of the fact that the carriers travel with escorts, and that subs don't do real well at things like sinking pirates or otherwise keeping sea lanes open. Or that troops on shore may need naval gunfire support at times...
If anyone ever read David Hackworths "About Face" it started with the story of the US Army giving up the bayonete in the late 40's as a relic of pre technology warfare. So when the Norks and Chinese descended on them, you can figure out the outcome. Bayonete training was put back into training.
As always, where DO you find this stuff?
ReplyDeleteThat was great. Thanks.
