Problem

Oink
Solution
Hostess Brands Inc. is warning striking employees that it will move to
liquidate the company if plant operations don't return to normal levels
by Thursday evening. The maker of Twinkies, Ding Dongs and Wonder Bread
said Thursday it will file a motion in U.S. Bankruptcy Court to shutter
operations if enough workers don't return by 5 p.m. EST. That would
result in the loss of about 18,000 jobs, including hundreds in Ogden.

Labor unions would
have us believe that they transfer income from rich capitalists to poor
workers. In fact, they mostly transfer income from the large number of
non-union workers to a small number of relatively well-off union
workers.
ROBERT E. ANDERSON, Just
Get Out of the Way
To a right-winger,
unions are awful. Why do right-wingers hate unions? Because collective
bargaining is the power that a worker has against the corporation.
Right-wingers hate that.

ReplyDeleteJaneane Garogalo sure does have it all figured out. Curses.
They actually believe that after Hostess goes bankrupt someone will come along and buy the company and things will go back to normal. What they don't realize is that in this economy nobody is going to buy a company with built in union labor and Obama Care on top of that. Also that the Texans who own the "Brand" will freeze in hell before they let Yankees have it.
ReplyDeleteYou never know- we may be in for "Government Cupcake."
ReplyDeleteHow about a third option? "Unions extort income from union employees to transfer to a corrupt semi-criminal organization, which supports political organizations whose philosophy is (usually) antithetical to the workers and is often antithetical to the employee's best interest."
ReplyDeleteBut that's just my own view.
HoHos - how the hell could they not mention HoHos? Bastards!
ReplyDeleteObama Ho's and Moochies for everyone!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Obama successfully destroys another business she sees as a threat to the health of Our Nation's youth. Yay us!
ReplyDeleteHostess has thrown in the Twinkie.
ReplyDeleteThere were at least 2 unions involved: the Teamsters accepted cuts and the bakers went on strike.
Workers feel betrayed by former employer when a plant closed earlier this week.

Too late. They have filed per the reddio a few seconds ago.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the memories.
As a young {much younger} kid, I would stop on the way home from Mass and get Hostess cupcakes to eat on the way home. Fasting from midnight made one hungry. No Mo.
Do you suppose they plan on flying Eastern Airlines home to Mom's for Thannksgiving? Just about as successful a union operation.
Or, as I sort of remember, the picture of the guy holding the gun to his head, saying, "Drop your guns, or the black guy gets it..."
Smart, very smart. not.
Who will Obamba blame this one on? Trumka? They BOTH still have their 6 figure jobs, along with all the other union "executives". THEY never go out on strike, and don't miss a paycheck. fools.
tomw
Hmmm, I wonder if we'll be reading about a tragic accident involving an 18 wheeler and Trumka? Or will Trumka just disappear one day?
ReplyDeleteIt is illegal to enter into a conspiracy to coerce, influence, or whatever, an employer or employee in the USA. Therefore labor unions are illegal, but so are corporations or even partnerships by that idea.
ReplyDeleteAbuses do occur on both side of the fence.
ignore amos -a conservative minded union member
A product that will last longer than the company that created it.
ReplyDeleteWe give you, The Twinkie.
Haaahahhahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa
ReplyDelete*cough*
*shrugs*
Those union bastards have gone too far. I just finished off the last mini donette this morning and I read this. Now they have crossed the line. Last straw and all that. THIS MEANS WAR.. Just after I finish a run to get more donettes.
ReplyDeleteA very angry and porky x
Speaking of Twinkies:
ReplyDeleteA little girl accompanies her father to the barber shop. She stands next to her father while eating a snack cake. Concerned because she is standing too close to the chair, the Barber says, "You're going to get hair on your Twinkie." All wide eyed she looks up at him and says, "I know. I'm going to get boobs, too!"

Another 18,000 out of work and on the unemployment check line.
ReplyDeleteI can't forgive them for killing off Drake's Coffee Cakes and Devil Dogs!
May they rot away in Obama's 57th state.
