Really Ghetto

When cuzzin ricky sent me these yesterday morning I almost sharted.  They're all from

Titanic Analogies

Titanic v Concordia
I at first saw a certain cultural analogy.  Upon reflection (as I was posting this) however, the Concordia's captain is reviled (and been quite arrested). I can't vouch for the rest, although I am prepared to think the worst of any Russian with money, since they're almost certainly mobbed up.  So never mind.   This better makes a germane cultural  point. .  No, Wait!  This is even better.

an act of national insanity

Robert J. Samuelson "is not known for his conservative politics" notes cuzzin ricky

President Obama’s rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico is an act of national insanity. It isn’t often that a president makes a decision that has no redeeming virtues and — beyond the symbolism — won’t even advance the goals of the groups that demanded it. All it tells us is that Obama is so obsessed with his re-election that, through some sort of political calculus, he believes that placating his environmental supporters will improve his chances.

Aside from the political and public relations victory, environmentalists won’t get much. Stopping the pipeline won’t halt the development of tar sands, to which the Canadian government is committed; therefore, there will be little effect on global warming emissions (see?). Indeed, Obama’s decision might add to them. If Canada builds a pipeline from Alberta to the Pacific for export to Asia, moving all that oil across the ocean by tanker will create extra emissions. There will also be the risk of added spills. [Politics control Obama's pipeline decision]

My inner Lemming makes me continue (like the Hitler Channels) to document the same-old,  same-old about this horrid little man, Obama.. I guess because I do appreciate when some Stauffen-esque character finds the guts to place a "bomb" under the leader's chair.  You never know when one will actually do the job.

Nancy Pelosi: Romney won't be president
Nancy Pelosi: Newt won't be president

Washed-up shrew and ex-Speaker Nancy Pelosi is back making news. First time since guaranteeing her Democrats would keep control of the House  in 2010.  Ahem.  And WOW!  It appears she's trying to keep the Republican Party from doing itself harm—  by nominating the wrong person!  Someone unelectable. After Newt's surprising win in the South Carolina primary,  Pelosi adamantly stated:

He's not going to be President of the United States. That's not going to happen. Let me just make my prediction and stand by it, it isn't going to happen. There is something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him that's their prerogative. I don't even think that's going to happen.

Like you, I'm wondering what she could possibly know about Newt that could be so damaging?  Just off the top of my head, I offer these five possibilities.  She knows that ...
  1. ....  a 19-year-old English woman said Newt sexually assaulted (raped) her after she met him at a pub near the Oxford University in 1969
  2. ....  in 1978 Newt raped another woman in an Arkansas hotel room
  3. ....  far from being the college professor he claims to have been, Newt won't release any document that proves he even graduated from kindergarten
  4. ....  Speaker, Newt  "earmarked " funds that enriched his wife.
  5. ....  In 1996, Speaker Newt certified Bob Dole (as a presidential candidate)  in spite of the fact that the Kansas Republican Party refused to  certify him, thus committing fraud.
Let's hope it's none of those things.  Nobody could possibly overcome such scandal. No Republican anyway.
