So, who are you?
Geeze,
with domains selling at $7.95 why not something better than UAS ? I'll
hit the tip jar for $30 if you buy something that makes sense. Deal?
Heck, I own an ISP, I'll host you off blogger for free. Wordpress.
Several years ago (circa 1994) home was a WaPost discussion board. I described someone as "pecksniffian," which delighted everyone, and after that I just became "pecksniff." I had to shorten it because my ISP only accepted 8 letter names.
You can have two names point to the same web page. A good descriptive domain name will attract additional visitors. I suggest barnarmy.com.
Ah 8 character unix luser names. My first Internet system was a 486 running Sun Solaris 2.1 with an 8 character luser name limit. Unix shell access only (no home computers had IP protocol or ppp). I crafted up a menu system that would let users type "M" for mail and that started "Pine" the most graphical unix email client, "N" for news which started TRN or "threaded news reader," etc. And who remembers Archie, Veronica and Jughead? Gopher was the closest thing we had to hypertext. The good ol days.
UAS,it was seared in my mind that night of Christmas 1967 talking to Dick by sat.phone when on another line I heard UAS UAS UAS. I new then it was Rodger, and soon it....... ozaoB
You can't get rid of UAS! It was the little mistake you made that's endeared you to millions of Americans for generations.

ReplyDeleteDont listen Herr Schlong. Like the crack in the Liberty Bell, your imperfections are part of your charm, and remind us you are human. Like us.

My beef is with "makes sense"--why do we have to make sense?
