That's what I am too. I didn't want to give up my NY and NJ bar licences but they have continuing education requirements to keep the license in an active status. If you certify that you are retired and in good faith don't intend to practice again you are exampt from that but if you decide to go back to practrice all you need to do is bring your education credits up to date; no new bar exam. See where it says voluntarily inactive.

ReplyDeleteYeah. He's not disbarred. He's still a member of the bar. He just can't represent clients until he gets his CLE hours.
