To my military mind, that is the indomitable spirit that made this country great. Too bad we have been wussified til we cry for sympathy (isn't that in the dictionary?) and expect others to cry with us. Back in the Corps we used to say "laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and the world laughs at you.
Navy Seals: "I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity. My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission. I am never out of the fight."
Now that's the way it should be..
