Well, well, well. MSNBC, through the back door of Pete Williams's First Read Blog, deigned to mention that the Supremes will be considering Obama's COLB [DUO TAKE OBAMA BIRTH CHALLENGE TO COURT]
on Dec. 8th.. Crack journalsim, eh wot? Williams show as much grasp of
the issue as do the the gaggle of Obamanite cultists who cluck their
comments. First, where in the record is Obama's statement that he
released his birth certificate? As I remember it, he ignored the
issue completely unitil a document suddenly appeared on the Daily Kos
web site. The web site that's funded by the DNC. Obama's "FactCheck.org" stamped it official, stating that they "carefully examined the original document in person, and have found it to be authentic." Well isn't it that nice? That that the only people on planet Earth to supposedly see the document are Obama pegboys? JFC!
By way of disclosure,
I understand Obama's plight. I too am living through a malicious
campaign that questions my own COLB information. Some
anti-Schlongs out there claim they have seen my birth certificate, and
aver that my actual name is Rodger Schlort.
Mo-Sup swears she's not a party to this schmeer, so it must be guys
from my gym class. I know who you are, and I'm going to sue for
slander if it doesn't stop. But, then, I'm not trying to work in
the Oval Office, either.

I just checked Intrade. There doesn't seem to be anything on this one yet. I didn't check any other prediction markets.
ReplyDeleteIt's not surprising, considering the minimal press coverage the issue is receiving. If the Donofrio case makes it out of conference, all bets are off, I mean, on.
I don't look for much to happen with this issue. Let's say for the sake of discussion that Obama is not a natural born citizen of the US. What will the Supreme court make of that? Will they take a hard-fought election with a sizeable majority of voters expecting a certain outcome and say "oops, sorry about that?" The African-Americans who voted for him will not accept anything except that whitey is trying to cheat them of their birthright. The liberals will also not accept that the miracle worker they had been promised is not a legitimate winner. Not with the constitution being a living document and all. Kennedy will swing towards the liberals this time, I'm sure, because the constitutional crisis would be just too much for him to bear. No, the fate of this case was sealed when they failed to come to a final decision before the election. The best we can hope for is a very clever forgery to appear at the last minute, and everybody will pretend. Understand, the consequences of disqualifying The One will be just too enormous to live with.

If a person isn't qualified to hold office then they should not and damn the consequences. I'm not saying that lightly. I remember the smoke rising during the riots of the 60's.
ReplyDeleteHOWEVER, if it turns out that someone is ineligible because or either their place of birth OR their not properly choosing US citizenship after assuming foreign citizenship (ie obama might have had indonesian citizenship and not renounced that formally) THEN THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE OFFICE.
We live in a freaking absurdity that there is more scrutiny of credentials for a GS-5 clerical position than for POTUS.
Anyway, Republican have been forced out of office.. ie Randy Cunningham, Ted Stevens, Tricky Dickie Nixon. If they allow our country to be goverened by a threat of violence, then our Republic is doomed.
I would sleep much easier if some high level goverment official would come forward and say "HEY Guys .. I'm the guy who investigates this and here is what I found"
Obama has deliberately made himself a cipher. He has released almost no pertinent info.. ie med records, thesis, school records etc. All he has to do is SHOW THE RECORDS...

ReplyDeleteAnd never forget - their double talk is meant to hide the fact that their triple talk is obscuring their ignorance of a given subject.
A self inflicted Constitutional crisis of this magnatude can not be allowed to be wasted. There are a whole bunch of problems with the evolving paradigm that couldn't be fixed under normal circumstances but we have the times, means, and moral authority to fix it now.
