  4. A poem I wrote for my wife has a similar reference in one stanza. It's a tribute reflecting on several decades together. Something I do for her birthdays instead of spending money on something she doesn't need and won't use or wear.

    It's a vers libre with little attention to cadence . . . just imagery:

    "Cool pillow on a warm summer night
    Hot dinner on a cold winter day
    Fresh t-shirt after a tough job
    Warm puppy after a harsh hasty word"
