May 2, 2003, Commander in Chief lands on USS Lincoln Having proclaimed President Bush's strategy of isolating Iran with democratic governments in Afghanistan and Iraq as "missions impossible," and "another Vietnam quagmire," the left exploded in uncontrolled  anger over this image of former Air Force pilot Bush landing on the carrier Lincoln in celebration of what remains, to this day, a victory.  How did Democrats try to neutralize the effects of American military success, and grab power?
