Some of you will remember this. Gary
Plauche, in front of a local television camera, shot and killed the man
who kidnapped and sexually molested his son. Baton Rouge
prosecutors knew they couldn't get a conviction, so they offered Plauche
five years probation in return for a guilty plea. There were two
things at work here. Plauche was driven to near insanity by
what his son's karate instructor had done, and the community
understood, and shared Plauche's outrage. Yes, he was wrong
to take the law into his own hands, especially since the law was about
to deal with the pedophile. Don't matter. If I was on the jury, I'd
have voted for "guilty of discharging a firearm in a public place," or
acquittal.
What brought this to mind ...?
I
didn't go looking for it, it popped into my brain as I read that George
Soros, and his Moveon.org leftist vigilantes, are advising Henry Waxman about legislating control of the internet, as part of the "Fairness Doctrine."
Other stuff popped up too, but ... I forget what
that was. You may think of something else too, which is
okay.
Just remember -- count on your every public utterance being
recorded into your permanent record. These people mean business.

Army of one. Unintended consequences...
ReplyDeleteThe most resounding influences occur when the truth is simply stated. Truth needn't be associated with the rhetoric required to deceive. And these people fear the truth more than anything. Simply saying.

Soros is an enemy of the state, but then so are Obambi, 90% of both houses of Congress, 75% of the judges on the Federal Bench, most federal law enforcement and the MSM.
ReplyDeleteThomas Jefferson is looking down on us now and shaking his head in sadness at what we have allowed our country to become, and what WE have become - Fat, Dumb, Happy & Complacent. We the people (myself included) have allowed this commie takeover with no resistance other than a few angry words on conservative blogs and maybe a vote for John Freakin' McCain (commie light) or a third party candidate that had no hope of getting more than 2% of the vote. If the Founding Fathers were here right now, I think they'd kick our asses before they hung the commies.

Tis interesting, at least I think, that liberals are willing to excuse a multitude of sins by invoking "victim of {insert cause here}"or that they were born that way when it is convenient or makes their cause seem more noble. I probably would have done the same thing had my son been the victim.
