It was not that long ago that Barack Obama told a crowd of 1,500
supporters in Elko, Nev., to challenge those who disagree with them and
him: "I want you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your
neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independents or
Republicans. I want you to argue with them."
President Obama spoke then as the community organizer he was — a
true disciple of Saul Alinsky who worked with and for Acorn in the days
when they were storming banks and government meetings to force them to
ditch creditworthiness as a criteria and forcing them to issue loans to
those who couldn't afford them.
The president is familiar with the Alinsky way, the Chicago way, of
organizing a group to act. Obama spent years prodding underprivileged
Chicagoans to channel their political anger by orchestrating activist
mob scenes designed to coerce businesses and public officials. A 2007
profile in the left-leaning New Republic was titled "The Agitator."

No sooner did that IBD editorial hit the pavement, when our distinctly
gang oriented Administration brandished switch blades and zip guns. Again.

White House to Democrats: 'Punch back twice as hard'
Top White House aides gave Senate Democrats a recess battle plan on
Thursday, arming the lawmakers with tips for avoiding disastrous town
hall meetings while showing them polling on popular aspects of the
reform effort.
Senior White House adviser David Axelrod and deputy chief of staff Jim
Messina told senators to focus on the insured and how they would
benefit from “consumer protections" in the overhaul, such as ending the
practice of denying insurance based on preexisting conditions and
ensuring the continuity of coverage between jobs.
They
showed video clips of the confrontational town halls that have
dominated the media coverage, and told senators to do more prep work
than usual for their public meetings by making sure their own
supporters turn out, senators and aides said.
And they screened TV ads and reviewed the various campaigns by critics of the Democratic plan.
“If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard,” Messina said, according to an official who attended the meeting.

There are signs that America is waking up; realizing what a horrible
mistake it made. Let's hope it continues to a peaceable political
solution. There has to be an ending other than national
subjugation by tyrants.

What would happen if everyone e-mailed the flag address and turned themselves in? Would we just be asking for trouble from BHE? Just wondering.
ReplyDeleteRight out of the 'Rise and Fall of the Third Reich'. The rise part, I mean.
ReplyDeleteBambi and the crew doing West Side Story, eh???

ReplyDeletePerfect -- wish I'd done it.
From my somewhat distorted viewpoint, we are at a turning point. The current WH resident has determined to change the most successful country in the world to his own desire.
ReplyDeleteHe is finally meeting resistance. We are at a 'them that has, wants to keep it' vs 'them that don't have and wants to take it' meeting point. Notice the makeup of the imported thugs, the attitude that their chants evoked, that they were *due* stuff. The Wun has invigorated class envy, and unknowingly has awakened the very voters he so proposed to represent, and, protect from 'No Mo Tax Increases, and a tax cut if you make under $250K, or $200K or $100K I ferget. [wish I know how to do strikeout text..]'
People sat still, well sort of, for the bailouts, the GM and Chryco ripoffs, and the "recovery" plan. Now, he is getting too close to directly affecting a lot of people. They no likee, and their response was met with thuggery. That won't sell.
