One
of the first things Bill Clinton did as president was transfer
oversight of America's supersecret encryption and satellite
technologies to Ron Brown's Commerce Dept. Brown wound up dead in
a plane crash, with a .40 cal size hole in his head, but that's a
different non-story. Commerce became a playground for John Huang,
who made regular phone and fax calls to China, and to the PLA's
Lippo Group partner. Democrats would later argue that "the calls may have been personal."
I'm not making this up. As a result, Red China went from having a
third world rocket technology program, to one that allowed Gen. Xiong, then second in command of the People's Liberation Army, to in 1996 threaten to "vaporize Los Angeles."
Sales to China of technology by Space
Systems/Loral and Hughes Electronics were key, and resulted in the 1999
Defense Authorization Act. A key provision required that the
president notify Congress whether a transfer of
missile and space technology to China would harm the U.S. space-launch
industry or help China's missile programs. Why am I talking about
this? Because Obama just overturned it, sending oversight back
to Commerce. Why? Because Obama wants China to continue
underwriting the huge debt he's piling up is my guess.
As an aside (I can't
help myself), the Senate hearings into this scandal were bollixed-up
when John Glenn, in return for help in retiring huge campaign debt,
demanded the hearings focus on Campaign-Finance reform, instead of
treason. John Glenn will prolly burn in Hell (9th circle) for that
betrayal.

John Glenn is a scumbag. Most men's egos would be sated with being the first man in space, but that was not enough for John. He wanted to be Prez-O-dent too, and it didn't matter what he did to his country, or which union leader's ass he had to kiss.

I lost all respect for that turd when he ran interference for Clinton durring the hearings Sen Fred Thompson chaired. Then he got another ride in space.

Those are the hearings I'm referring to.
ReplyDeleteObama is helping/cosying up to Commies (again)? Wow, I'm truly shocked (NOT).
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that John Glenn got a ride on the shuttle as well. What's a ride on a Russian rocket going for, 20 or 25 million? Hell of a payment in kind, don't ya think?

this program is called ITAR
ReplyDeleteLoosening restrictions is one of the few good things the administration has done. American businesses have been greatly hurt by the policies. Check out hobbyspace.com for more info.
