Ex-convict Jim Traficant has garnered enough signatures on petitions to run for office in two U.S. congressional districts: the 17th and the 6th. - SondraK.
The hell of it is, Traficant, while guilty as sin, was prolly more honest than many of his Donk peers.
In my head, his name is TraficantE, with an E at the tail...
He always struck me as a 'good old boy scoundrel, stealing the salt and pepper shakers from the Deli... and the sugar, ketchup, and napkins..' If it wasn't tied down, it was fair game. AND he didn't hide it. Cannot but help laughing at his demeanor on FNC before he was confined. Stubborn old Pol. More honest in a LOT of ways from the sleaze inhabiting DC today. tomw

The only reason he went to prison was because the D's wanted his seat, and it's the only way they could wrestle it away from him. His conviction was a put-up job. People back home know that.
