CHICAGO
(AP) — Annoyed by recent court rulings that expanded First Amendment
rights, Mayor Richard Daley on Thursday introduced what city officials
say is the strictest Speech ordinance in the United States.
The measure, which draws from ordinances around the country, would
strictly limit political speech in Chicago, even prohibiting home owners from stepping
outside their homes, even onto their porches or garages, with an
unauthorized sign.
What? I'm sorry, that should read "Second Amendment" rights. Silly me. All Bill of Rights amendments look the same to me.

SCOTUS ruled 2nd Amendment applied to all jurisdictions, not just federal. The amendment says "....to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"
ReplyDeleteA lockbox could be "keep", but how does one "bear" in a lockbox?
And all that Daley BS sounds like a helluva lot of infringement. Where does the "fringe" begin?
One could hope for social justice wherein some thug beats Daley to death with a baseball bat.
