During the Bush 41 presidency there was a shooting at a schoolyard in which the criminal used a semi-auto rifle. Naturally there were calls for gun control, especially bans on "assault rifles". To his credit, Bush resisted. That is, until Barbara publically came out in favor of the gun grabbers. Bush caved, and appointed Bill Bennett to come up with a list of "assault rifls" to ban from importation. In that one moment George and Barbara Bush and Bill Bennett were permenantly placed on my shitlist. I have never had reason to strike them from the list.
Well, to quote Barbara Bush, "you can't dislike Bill Clinton, he's very likable."
