Before 1992 the word disingenuous
was never used, except possibly by William F. Buckley Jr. when
discussing Gore Vidal. Beginning with that year's presidential
campaign
however, disingenuous
became the wildly popular adjective of choice with
journalists (Democrat Media Complex)
uncomfortable about calling Bill Clinton a bullshit
artist. Which brings me to ...
Godwin's law. This is the meme that rules "the first one to use Hitler in an argument
loses". Had you ever heard of Godwin's Law before Obama became
president? No, you did not. First, that's not what Godwin
really said. Obama scribblers introduced it Reductio ad Hitlerum, which means
play the Nazi card.
“

The
tactic is often used to derail arguments, because such comparisons
tend to distract and anger.[1]
|
” |
As used then, Godwin's Law ought remind us something else ..
Anyone? Here's a hint.

Rule
4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill
them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the
Christian church can live up to Christianity.” |

Yeppir. Alinsky's Rules for Radicals,
aka Obama's Creed. The
reason Obamunists hate the Nazi comparison is that there is
one. To be sure, there have been other analogous models, like
Communism, but are too arcane. While there are about 12 billion
feet of Nazi film, and 6000 Hollywood movies about Hitler, that are
circulated on10 Hitler cable channels, Stalin pops up only as Hitler's
adversary (after he wasn't an adversary). It does little good then to
compare Eric Holder's actions with, say, Feliks Dzerzhinsky
,
but Heinrich
Himmler
strikes terror. Face it, we have never had a government
with parallels to totalitarian government. On Monday I linked to 10
Most Evil Propaganda Techniques Used by the Nazis as an
example. I submit that there is no better comparison available to
Barack Obama and today's Democrat Party then Adolph Hitler and the
Nazis. This is our WWII being replayed.

Hitler had enough testosterone to grow a moustache.

I think you're being unfair to Hitler.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Barry/Adolf comparisons is that only one of them was a patriot. While Hitler established himself as a great leader and national hero for recovering the Sunderland, Obama is intent on giving back the Gadsden Purchase.
You can have your theories about Barry 40-O, but nothing fits the facts better than a crackhead who hates America.
Oh golly-gosh, where to begin?
ReplyDelete1. The cult of personality of a leader who will cure all ills and right all wrongs was apparent during the election campaign.
2. The post-election graphics, i.e. "The Seal of the Office of the President-Elect" and the "Dear Leader"-type portraits everywhere.
3. The gushing, fawning, eating-of-poodle-vomit articles out of the CriminalLiberalPress were worth of "Jup" Goebbels. The once free press has morphed into the Ministry of Propaganda and Kulture.
4. The ad-hoc executive branch czars who are unaccountable to all except the Leader".
5. The governmental decisions based upon race. No soap or lampshade factories, but you certainly get the feel.
These are but a few of the Fascist/Nazi characteristics present in the current administration. These observations are just my opinion and we all know what that's worth.

Helly, you are correct, but you've Alinsky'd me unfairly. My referenced association was totalitarian government. This is one in the making. Oui?
ReplyDeleteAnyone who can live up to their ideals have set their standards too low.
ReplyDeleteLaurence
Barry's Berlin rally prompted my German in-laws to remark that Hitler was also a mesmerizing speaker, but nothing of substance was left when you read the transcript.
ReplyDeleteIn a similar vein, my wife could not stand to listen to Clinton or Obama, as doing the mental translation from English into something of meaning kept coming up empty. All bromides and emotional appeal, devoid of meaning. By comparison, Bush had some great speeches, and the only way the press could deny that fact was to blatantly misrepresent his speeches for an audience too lazy to go to c-span.org and hear the original.
As for a totalitarian government: the 2010 deer season had 280,000 hunters take to the field in West Virginia (unlike Washington DC, we did not have drive-bys, rapes, robberies or murders.) Can't imagine our sons and daughters serving would return home to attack there fathers and mothers, so Holder would have to send his new black panther up to get us out of our hills.
Bring it on.

The thing is jr in wv, the knocks on individual doors come in the dead of night.
ReplyDelete@RTRKF -- that's another parallel, the "Nicht und Nebel" Laws. That's where your Gestapo agents would tkae you out in the wee hours of the morning. You would literally disappear into the "Night and Fog".

Shit jr, you got me ready to move to the holler.
ReplyDeleteCasca
I'm thinking the way I compare the two is my dislike for both is about the same.
ReplyDeleteYour royal highness and assembled company:
ReplyDeleteIn reply to your assertion I quote part of Joe Huffman's excellent essay "Civil Disobedience":
"Remember the lessons of the 20th Century:
Lesson No. 1: If a bureaucrat, or a soldier sent by a bureaucrat, comes to knock down your door and take you someplace you don't want to go because of who you are or what you think-- kill him. If you can, kill the politician who sent them. You will likely die anyway, and you will be saving someone else the same fate. For it is a universal truth that the intended victims always far outnumber the tyrant's executioners. Any nation which practices this lesson will quickly run out of executioners and tyrants, or they will run out of it.
Lesson No. 2: If a bureaucrat, or a soldier sent by a bureaucrat, comes to knock down your door and confiscate your firearms-- kill him. The disarmament of law-abiding citizens is the required precursor to genocide.
Lesson No. 3: If a bureaucrat tells you that he must know if you have a firearm so he can put your name on a list for the common good, or wants to issue you an identity card so that you may be more easily identified-- tell him to go to hell. Registration of people and firearms is the required precursor to the tyranny which permits genocide. Bureaucrats cannot send soldiers to doors that aren't on their list.
Lesson No. 4: Believe actions, not words. Tyrants are consummate liars. Just because a tyrant is "democratically elected" doesn't mean that he believes in democracy. Reference Adolf Hitler, 1932. And just because a would-be tyrant mouths words of reverence to law and justice, or takes a solemn oath to uphold a constitution, doesn't mean he believes such concepts apply to him."
Your in all sincerity,
Armageddon Rex.
@Rex -- I like it.
