scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
I hope it's a garbage scow. 'Course, Carter got one. I wonder how the crew feels about serving on a ship named for a fool and traitor? When will we have the Benedict Arnold or the Julius Rosenburg? Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
I'm SO glad I'm retired. I would hate to be placed in the position of having to disobey an order to transfer to a ship bearing the name of this individual. With all respect to his service, I believe he dishonored himself, the Corps, the Department of the Navy, and DoD by his actions in the legislature. I could not serve in such a ship. MichigammeDave
Read up on Benedict Arnold'd folderol in Canada... Paying up for everything with worthless script, Limeys figured out such a fool could easily be bought out and made a traitor!
Now, put yourself in the shoes of a Chicom politburo type... these demonrats are practically on China's payroll, just like Benedict Arnold was bought and paid for by the Brits.
I know the perfect ship to be named after Murtha.... it's in 85 feet of water off Miami. (There's a Nazi WWII sub not far away that could be renamed for Kennedy, too!)
When I heard that they were going to name after Murtha, I was inspired for the first time in my life to write to all three of my congress critters (two Democratic senators and a Republican representative). All of them wrote back saying that they wouldn't second guess the Secretary of the Navy.
Of course, your picture is probably correct - Obama basically told Maybus to do it.
When will they name a ship after Duke Cunningham? No? How about a Naval Air Station then?
ReplyDeleteShould call the ship the "U.S.S. Unindicted Co-conspirator."
