Supposedly, the reason
for the Jew-Democrat rift is Obama's alliance
with Arab nations bent on destroying Israel. Well, Jews have had
30
years now to recognize that Republicans have been stalwart allies of
Israel, while Democrats have,
at best,
included them in myriad negotiations with Islamic terrorists.
Negotiations never to Israel's advantage.
Unlike Blacks, who are so in the thrall of
this
idiotic racist dogma,
as to be near hopeless, Jews, educated as they are, ought
be immune
to that sort of cultural mythology. Instead, the prominent
American Jew— what I call the
Hollywood
Jew,
is first a socialists
/communist;
a Democrat
second, and observant Jew somewhere after that. When it's convenient.
In short, leftist ideology trumps all.
That's just the way
it is . You must
never
pander. To anyone. Ever. If these sorry-asses are to be won over,
it will come
from steady and principled application of a belief system that has a
solid history of success. Like promoting
freedom, and the personal
responsibility that goes with it.
Only one comment to make: The "Hollywood Jew" is definitely not "observant" in any sense of the word. Observant, or "Orthodox" Jews are overwhelmingly Republicans. The latest estimate is that over 90% of them voted for McCain. However, they sadly only make up about 10% of the Jewish vote.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree, although it saddens me to do so. I had nearly this same conversation with my doctor the other day. It's a cycle of delusion. After thousands of years of being persecuted for being smarter and richer than everybody else and not associating with the lower rungs of society, they don't want to associate with the lower rungs of society or people who aren't as smart or as rich as they are. And dirty cowboys like Bush, grubby working class folks in flyover country fit that group to a tee. No thanks, they'll stick with their urbane urban super liberal clique, thank you, even though it's far more likely for them to encounter prejudice in those circles than in others. And Israel? Phah! Bunch of dirt grubbing farmers, and sweaty workers, and tradesmen, and fighters! They're practically cowboys!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the circle continues. It even continues among the Jewish folks who are farmers, workers, and cowboys, because they adopt the mindset of their "betters" at the top of society and emulate them.
My doc loves talking politics with his patients. After doing a double hitch as an officer, the USMC paid for his education ... so he's Conservative with a capital C. During the last election he tells me that a Jewish woman patient told him she'd vote for Hitler before she'd vote for Bush. Go figure.
Obama could drop a nuke on Tel Aviv and they'd still vote for him.
Shayne is correct: there is a small segment of their population that is quite conservative. Those are the ones who put citizenship and religion above political ideology. Just like the evil Religious Right! (who are usually huge supporters of Israel)
It's a never ending destructive circle of willful blindness and delusion.
Right again, Rodge:

David Horowitz in his book "Radical Son" does a pretty fair job describing the mindset of the liberal Jew. It basically boils down to two things, 1. They don't trust Christians. 2. They are progressive globalists because they've never had a country in 2000years after the Diaspora that didn't fuck them.
ReplyDeleteI'll add a number 3 that Horowitz of course would not consider
'cause he's a Jew..3. God blinded them from the truth...so they will gladly vote for a ratbastardcommiemofo who would rather they all be dead than vote for him if he had that choice.
I have ceased worrying about Israel more than American Jews apparently do.
ReplyDeleteAnd the GOP shouldn't bother chasing Jews, blacks or labor, like it has unsuccessfully done in the past for many decades.
If any of these constitutencies want what the GOP has to offer (and I, myself, frequently do not), they can support and vote for GOP or conservative candidates.
I grew up in a mostly Jewish neighborhood and my parents remaing there, but, come election time, based on the yard signs these people vote only one way.
Did they really think that an only modestly closeted Muslim was going to have anything but antipathy for Israel.
I wish that Bibi had told Barack that our country was in no position to lecture any other country on border security matters.
