  7. As Rodger will tell you, I am no troll. The fact is that I never thought I'd see a pres worse than Carter and now we've had 2 in a row... Sorry but W sucked and sucked badly. He randomly got a couple things right. BFD. He fucked up way too much on most everything else.

  11. I lived through the Johnson years, the Jimmy Carter Years, and the Clinton years and they were all worse than Bush despite his flaws. Come to think of it, JFK wasn't all that popular until after he was shot.

  12. toadold, maybe I think he belongs in that group because when I voted for W,I expected so much more out of him than what he delivered. I expected Carter to be bad even though I was only 12 when he ran. One look at him and my initial thought was "what a loser". He had that "kid who gets his lunch money taken" look. I wasn't even into politics then. Had no idea about him except that he looked like he was going to be an idiot and yep, he was. When I was 16 and saw Ronaldus, I knew where I stood politically. In 84, I cast my first vote up in Detroit for the greatest president I'll probably ever see and helped add to that ass kicking of Mondale. And I wept as a 24 year old watching Ronald Reagan leave office.

Nothing has been the same since.

When W. Bush came into play, I had my doubts because of his dad, but I was re-assured "he's not like dad". Then W gave his "it's the people's money, not ours" speech and I was hopeful. It was either him or f'ing Gore and as bad as I think W is, I know Gore would have been worse. If Gore were in office, we'd STILL be asking the Taliban if they knew where Osama was. But W didn' govern as he ran. And by the time he left office, he had allowed the dems to run his last 2 years instead of fighting the fight that needed to be fought. W disappointed me on so many levels that I was glad to see him go and every time I see a sign that says "miss me yet?" I say "no, because your evil twin is in office continuing all your worst policies and adding even worse ones to it."

This election, I will not go for lesser of 2 evils. Romney, Pawlenty will NOT get my vote under any conditions. I'll write my own name in before them. Perry has work to do before I'll pull the lever for another Texan. Every Texas president has sucked badly. Bachman is my vote getter now, but Paul Ryan could steal it from her. I would vote for and support the 'Stache (Bolton) and of course there are a couple governors and a former mayor who the libs hate that I would be happy with. But no more "get along" republicans. I don't want a new tone, I want to hear liberals scream as we vivisect them alive.

  15. Read my post. I clearly said: "It was either him or f'ing Gore and as bad as I think W is, I know Gore would have been worse. If Gore were in office, we'd STILL be asking the Taliban if they knew where Osama was."

And Kerry was the greater of 2 evils. But one thing this whole thing has taught me is that evil is evil. Lesser or no. And if someone is going to fuck the country up, I want a D by their name, not an R.

So far, the repubs have a good shot. Bachman, Christie are excellent. But the RINO's won't cut it. No Romney, No Pawlenty. Not from with vote.
