Went to a talk by Berke Breathed back in college ('80's). He said he liked being a cartoonist, "I work 5 or 6 days out of a month drawing the cartoons, send them off in an envelope to the publisher. A couple weeks later they send me a check for an obscene amount of money. It kind of makes it hard for me to be a liberal."
