The founders; certainly Thomas
Jefferson, would see merit in
giving the citizenry proper tools for maintaining our freedom
against its greatest natural enemy.
- Every
government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone.
The people themselves are its only safe depositories.
- For a people
who are free, and who mean to remain so, a well-organized and armed
militia is their best security.
- The spirit
of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I
wish it to be always kept alive.
- None but an
armed nation can dispense with a standing army. To keep ours armed and
disciplined is therefore at all times important.
- Every
citizen should be a soldier. This was the case with the Greeks and
Romans, and must be that of every free state.
- The tree of
liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots
and tyrants.
- God forbid
we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion (as Shay's). The
people cannot be all, & always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is
a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. We have had
13. states independent 11. years. There has been one rebellion. That
comes to one rebellion in a century & a half for each state. What
country before ever existed a century & half without a rebellion?
& what country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not
warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arm

You have to ax yourself how sane American men and women entrusted with the reigns of power in government, religion, acedemia, science and the military could allow men such as these this much treason decade after decade. The answe is, they are the same. A knife ain't gonna cut it Casca.

The barrels were hidden in the farmers fields, plowed into the ground. the Gun trails were hidden in an orchard. they were discovered by the Redcoats and burned. Upon seeing the smoke, the minute men thought that houses were be burned & it enraged them.
