I was sure this TOP 10 SCAMS OF THE YEAR list would be pedestrian, containing none that I could possibly fall victim to.  This hotel guest scam is brilliantly conceived however, and I can see how my neighbor could fall for it.  (No, Obama for President was not on the list).
ASIDE- Several years ago I idea'd this mission for our military, after we found and killed bin Laden.  Devote all of the nation's resources to finding and killing the world's biggest Phishers.  After we rid ourselves of Obama, it's still a grand idea.

    Nice thought but it won't work. There are gazillions of scams out there and no cure for stupid has been found.

    Did you see the latest South Park about the cable tv jewelery shopping networks? Another prime example - and that one is legal.
