And then the story turns ugly.
The social worker left the room and called the police. Without a court
order they took custody of Annie, immediately claiming that she was
suffering from illness or injury—a patently false claim.
The social worker consented to the administration
of the Hepatitis B shot even though no blood test had been done.
The police made Jodi Ferris get up out of her hospital bed and escorted
her to the entrance—they were expelling her from the hospital because
she had not signed the “safety plan.”
Scott met her at the entrance to the hospital. The police escorted them
both off of the grounds of the hospital.
Jodi was told that she would be allowed to return every three hours to
nurse the baby through the night. [Full]
The
state are allowed to do this by the voters. Presumably
Pennsylvanians approve.

What a horror story. I sent them some money. I sincerely hope the abused parents collect a bundle and the %#@%*%^ arrogant, overeaching, power drunk social worker is fired and also sued personally.
ReplyDeleteLt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
And one of the reasons CCW holders are forbidden from being armed at a hospital.
ReplyDeleteI wan't kept from being armed when I was in a hospital here in Las Vegas. I was there a week with it in my closet. Had my wife been subjected to a situation like this, I would have had an explanation from the first nurse, or the next one they send in to get the body.
ReplyDeleteI expect a quick out of court settlement. Not a huge amount of money but probably enough to put the kid through a state college.
ReplyDeleteY'know?
ReplyDeleteIf we had more government oversight, we could prevent problems like this
