There were no power, telephone or telegraph poles in the East back in 1896 or likely up to 1903. *I* think those two pics were photochopped. The guys in the pictures sure look a lot alike. Wonder if they are father/brothers/sons/cousins etc...

I suggest you also check the number of books published during the same time frame. Or published and translated in either direction... From observation, Islam seems to limit progress, or at least it does not encourage it. To survive, there has to be a world-wide reformation, but I don't see that coming anytime soon. Other than that, it will be a war, overt or covert, whether we want it or not. tomw

Doug, the practice run for the backlot production was done in '68. This was just a promo from that set... the real filming was done in spring '69... and released in July... on the 21st, IIRC. I watched on my roommates 12" BW set ... even took a pic of the TV with Gramps Leica 35mm for posterity. Bridges for sale... Statues, getchur statues... Have I got a deal for you!
