Mason Jars. 
Is There Anything They Can't Do?
I use Mason© jars for big gulp drinks in the summer.  I use them to store damned near any kind of dry food I want to protect against insects and vermin, or as refrigerated storage for things like cucumbers and leftovers (all in conjunction with my Food Saver Mason jar air sucker attachment).  My daughter just attended a high end wedding where Mason jars were used in place of stemware.  Probably not any good for  Molotov cocktails though (long neck beer bottles work good).

    How did I forget that Cracker! A friend who grew up in S. Kentucky brought some (unstamped)back a few years ago. The first swig damn near kilt me. It did get smoother though.

    Survive a drop. Shake poolside daiquiris. Nest and stack.

    After decades of collecting cases of canning jars, I've gone completely to screw top plastic jars. They survive trips to the beach and backpacking. I keep batteries in them on diving and kayak excursions.

    You could make the aesthetic case for keeping over-proof liquor in glass jars though.
