scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."

A Mr. Reagan on Line 2, Asshat
"Hi. I'm from the government and
I'm here to help you."
As long as that damn document of negative rights is still in place, we'll need guys like Genachowski to make ever more regulations to make sure that "competition" (i.e. anything that will promote the Administration's agenda and push aside actual free speech) thrives.
PS How's that Internet Kill Switch coming along? I'm sure that will do OODLES to promote and protect "competition".
Radio stations were sorting out issues concerning station vs. station interference by using QSL contest cards ( rate the station strength at your address for a free stuff drawing ), and if needed in civil court by using homesteading rules.
The Feds saw power slipping away and created the Federal Radio Commission quickly as the crisis was fading.
FCC = Filtering Citizen Communication. Another lawmaking bureaucracy with no citizen say so.
Used to be Congress made Law (The Rules), the President (Executive Branch) carried them out, and SCOTUS kept them from killing each other and us. Now The Executive makes rules by the thousands with no recourse to a vote by the people, with the blessing of Congress which passes laws that say "As the Secretary shall see fit..." and puts budgets, which could constrain how much "the Secretary shall..." on annual increase autopilot and SCOTUS is overwhelmed with frivolous work and pretty much goes along so as not to taint the Court's reputation. A fine kettle of fish. Problem is it's getting old and really stinks. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick

Those who can, do. Those who can't, regulate.

...and those who can't regulate, obfuscate.
