About the only thing he missed was something like this: "If I were the Devil, I'd have our politicians insist that America was unexceptional, and apologize to the World for our virtues that unsettle so many of them."
I missed 15 minutes of Rush everyday for years, because I had to flip over to Paul. Even today, at 15 minutes to noon I think " its time for Paul Harvey".
If I rushed from the car to the office, I could catch him at 5:45AM. He always found something interesting with a twist. Two stories stuck: The AL governor famous for being pro-segretation, George Wallace, standing up for a black man being accosted in an alley... Clint Eastwood being in a plane crash off the CA coast, I think on the way back from Korea. And the guy who was rescued from a crashed car two different times, on the same road, by the same guy. Oh, that's three. My bad. tomw
