scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
Ah. Saw a face in the crowd I haven't seen in well over fifty years. Startled me, but I'm sure it was her. Right place and time. I was out of sight, on the periphery of course.
I liked the music and most of the images, but not the cars. I grew up in NYC, and had zero love for them. They evoke no warm fuzzies for me. Besides, though I grew up in the 50s and 60s, I never considered cars of that era particularly attractive. 1930s, yes.
We knew every regular on American Bandstand and talked incessantly about which girl we'd like to bang (all of them). When we moved to the Baltimore area ABS was superseded by a piece of crap called the Buddy Dean Show which was later parodied by John Waters in "Hairspray." (I went to school with Waters in JHS, which is why I can identify with nearly everything in his movies)
